Travel Information
Passport, Visa and Invitation letter
Participants are advised to make their own arrangements with respect to entering the United States.
Individuals requiring an official letter of invitation in order to obtain a visa and authorization to attend the conference should contact the conference Administrative Support PMAPS2008@uprm.edu. The invitation letter will be issued once the conference Administrative Support has received the registration form and the payment.
Local Transportation
To reach Rincón of the Seas - Grand Caribbean Hotel is easy. Here, we give you the directions according to the three arriving airports most frequently used.
FROM SAN JUAN INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT
Take Highway 52 West to Highway 22 towards Arecibo
(you will pass through the Minilla Tunnel).
Continue on Highway 22 West through a series of four tollbooths.
After the fourth tollbooth, exit into Road 2 West, towards Aguadilla.
After passing Aguadilla, continue on Road 2 West until you see a
McDonalds restaurant. Make a right at McDonalds into Road 402.
Continue until the end of the road and turn right into Road 115
towards Rincón.
Drive for 10 minutes along Road 115.
Pass the Texaco gas station on your right.
Pass the next Texaco gas station on your left.
Continue until you arrive at Rincón of the Seas - Grand Caribbean
Hotel at kilometer 12.2.
FROM MAYAGÜEZ AIRPORT
Take Road 2 North.
Pass the bridge over Añasco river.
Turn left at the next traffic light into Road 115.
Drive for 10 minutes along Road 115.
Pass the Texaco gas station on your right.
Pass the next Texaco gas station on your left.
Continue until you arrive at Rincón of the Seas - Grand Caribbean
Hotel at kilometer 12.2.
FROM AGUADILLA AIRPORT
Exit the Airport to your left. Follow all signs to Gate 1.
Pass the gate and make a right into Road 2.
Continue until Road 115 towards Rincón.
Drive for 10 minutes along Road 115.
Pass the Texaco gas station on your right.
Pass the next Texaco gas station on your left.
Continue until you arrive at Rincón of the Seas - Grand Caribbean
Hotel at kilometer 12.2.
