Committees
The PMAPS conference organization consists of three committee groups:
- The PMAPS International Society (IS)
- The Local Organizing Committee (LOC)
- The International Technical Advisory Committee (ITAC)
Members in these committees are presented below.
PMAPS International Society
The PMAPS International Society includes the following members:
- Roy Billinton, Univ. of Saskatchewan, Canada, permanent member acting as chairman
- Fred Turner, PMAPS International, Canada, permanent member
- Samy Krishnasamy, Samtech Inc., Canada, permanent member
- Lina Bertling, KTH, Sweden, chairman for PMAPS 2006
- Agustín Irizarry-Rivera, UPRM, Puerto Rico, chairman for PMAPS 2008
Local Organizing Committee
The Local Organizing Committee includes the following persons from University of Puerto Rico Mayagüez:
- Agustín Irizarry-Rivera (conference chair)
- Juan Martínez Velásco (technical chair)
- Efraín O’Neill-Carrillo
- Miguel Vélez
- Lionel Orama
The LOC also involve administration support for handling the registration, hotel booking and support system for the paper review process.
International Technical Advisory Committee
The International Technical Advisory Committee for PMAPS 2008 consists of 28 members from 13 different countries over the world that are experts within the field of applying probabilistic methods for power systems.
